PS15 Range Hood .....Sizing

Here we have a PS1518-354 finished in Blackened Steel with Stainless trimmings.

The most important thing about hoods is, "the bigger the capture area you have the better it will work", so for this situation the customer had 4 options above the 48" Wolf Range Top.

From good to excellent are as follows.

48" Wide x 24" Deep
54" Wide x 24" Deep
48" Wide x 27" Deep
54" Wide x 27" Deep  

As you can see 54" x 27" give you extra width to deal with side smoke and grease but also extra depth to deal with the smoke and grease from the front of the range top. More smoke and grease is lost from the front of the range than from the sides so we always recommend going deeper first then go wider if you have the option.
