Blower Options

Speaking in general terms blower options for hoods are as follows.

30", 36" (all burner)  Range, Range Top or Cooktop       600 cfm
36" with Grill or Griddle                                                  1200 cfm
48", 60" Range, Range Top or Cook top                          1200 cfm

600 cfm or 1200 cfm by ModernAire  

If you have a long duct run over 10' we highly recommend an in-line blower or remote blower

1) Fantech make excellent in-line blowers

2) Abbaka make probably the best remote blowers on the market today.

In-line or remote blowers are normally used for difficult duct runs or long duct runs.  Dramatically reduced noise levels are a key benefit of inline and remote blowers.
Abbaka Silencers are very effective if you want to reduce noise even more.
