Designers Can Make Good Profit on Hoods

Meet Trevor.  That's me.  I started Valiant Sales to be the Modern-Aire Range Hood distributor in the Northeast US, offering designers a 25% discount on all Modern-Aire hoods.  Yes, this blog installment is completely self promotional, but I'm kind of a direct guy.  So bear with me on this one, and I'll go back to giving more designer resource tips for Modern-Aire products after I say my piece.  Ready?

If you are a member of the trade, you can get a whopping 25% on custom range hoods for your kitchen design.

I recently sold these particular models below to a designer at these net prices.

PS-1530       $3909.
PS-1018       $2499
PS-1630       $3299
PS-2930       $4386

If that designer was to pay retail, she would have paid $3523.25 more.  So essentially, she saved $3523.25 to use on her projects how she saw fit.

If you were that  designer, you would have the option of keeping all the discount, keeping any amount of it or giving your customer a rebate. Possibly more important to you may be the fact that you can sit with your client and work on a collaborative design that involves them with the process.  We feel we are giving you the opportunity to  build a stronger working relationship at the same time as creating a beautiful, one of a kind custom hood.

What is your normal discount from an appliance store for hoods?  As someone who has been in the appliance industry for many years I would be amazed if it's more than 5%. So here we have an opportunity not only for relationship building but also for profit in times when profit is hard to come by.

If your business is in the following areas, you are eligible to sign up for our "Modern-Aire Designer Program" and we would love to hear from you:  NY NJ PA RI CT MA NH ME VT

If it's a stunning hood or a simple insert you are looking for, talk to us.  We can help you realize some real profit potential.

Are you going to the Architectural Digest Home Design Show?  Come meet us in booth 392.   I'm the big guy with the British accent and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.  (And of course, I'm going to talk you into the FREE registration in our Modern-Aire Designer Hood Program.  Did I mention it's free?)

Thanks,

Trevor

  1. If you’re replacing a range hood, take note of the size and shape before going to the store.

  2. In one case, say, you are taking a one-pound slab of salmon from the fridge, cutting it to size, spicing it up, making a drizzle for it, cooking it just so, placing it artfully on a nice looking plate, and serving it.
